Taos County Fair Pet Parade

Superintendent: Crestina Armstrong

The Pet Parade is open to all children 8 years old and under. It is an oppourtunity for the little ones to participate in the annual Taos County Fair.

A child can bring any pet to the show ring where they will be asked to "show" their favorite pet by circling the showring. Pets can be anything from live pets to pet rocks to stuffed animals.

Each child will then be asked a few questions about their pet such as, "Does your pet do any special tricks?" or "What does your pet do for fun?"

After each child has had a chance to show off their pet, each will receive a ribbon for "the best" in the category. The categories are made up from the responses given by the child about their pet. (i.e., "Best dog wearing a neckerchief" or "Best circle swimming goldfish")

The idea is for the little ones to have fun, participate in the County Fair and have a chance to win a ribbon.
